Telugu speech differs between the Telangana region around Hyderabad, coastal Andhra and the Rayalaseema districts, and while the written language is shared, these differences in everyday vocabulary can matter, so it helps to tell us where a speaker is from. Telugu also keeps a clear gap between a formal register and casual speech. Many professionals use English at work, but medical detail, legal testimony and matters involving older relatives are far more accurate in Telugu, so we match the interpreter to both region and setting.
