About the Oromo Language

Oromo (Afaan Oromo) is the largest indigenous language of Ethiopia by speaker count, with around 37 million native speakers - also widely used across the Ethiopia-Kenya borderlands. The Oromo-Canadian community is concentrated in Toronto (one of the larger Oromo populations outside Ethiopia), Ottawa, Calgary, and Edmonton. Our Oromo translation work is mostly IRCC refugee and family-sponsorship paperwork, alongside academic transcripts and church records.
