Spoken Marathi varies by region, so telling us where a speaker is from helps an interview run smoothly. Standard Marathi from the Pune area is widely understood, while Varhadi from the Vidarbha region and coastal, Konkani-influenced speech carry vocabulary differences that can matter in a detailed hearing. Certified Marathi translation calls for a translator familiar with how the state of Maharashtra words its records, which carry many Sanskrit-derived legal and administrative terms. Each translation is issued by a certified translator with a signed certificate of accuracy, or supported by a sworn affidavit before a commissioner of oaths where the institution asks for one.
The records we handle most are birth, marriage and death certificates from municipal and gram panchayat registers, SSC and HSC board mark sheets and certificates, university degrees, school leaving certificates, and land records such as the 7/12 extract known as the satbara utara, along with affidavits, police-clearance certificates and court papers. We keep the tabular layout of a land record so figures can be checked against the original, and acceptance ultimately depends on the receiving institution.

Marathi is the official language of the Indian state of Maharashtra, including Mumbai and Pune, with around 83 million native speakers - one of India's most-spoken languages.
