Indonesian has a fairly uniform standard form, so variety matching matters less than setting and register; what helps is knowing whether the speaker also uses a regional language such as Javanese or Sundanese at home, since an older person may prefer that for anything personal. Certified Indonesian translation is the larger half of most files. Documents arrive in the Latin alphabet, which makes them look familiar, but civil records still carry official stamps, seals and endorsements that have to be translated in full, and the family card, the Kartu Keluarga, is a common Indonesian document that often needs translating alongside individual certificates.
