Hakka is a spoken variety written with the same Chinese characters as Mandarin, so there is no separate Hakka script to translate from. When a Hakka-speaking client brings documents, those records are in standard written Chinese, in simplified characters from mainland China or traditional characters from Taiwan, Hong Kong or elsewhere, and we translate them exactly as we would any Chinese document.
The records we see most are birth, marriage and death certificates, household registration documents, police clearances, and diplomas and transcripts for credential assessment. We deliver a complete English or French translation with a signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy, or a sworn affidavit before a commissioner of oaths where a body prefers one. Hakka in China refers to Hakka as spoken within mainland China - primarily across northern Guangdong, western Fujian, Jiangxi, and parts of Guangxi.
