Certified Danish translation is the larger part of most Danish files. Danish uses the Latin alphabet with the extra letters ae, oe and aa, which a translator renders exactly since a single character can change a name or a place. Denmark is party to the Apostille Convention, so many civil records arrive apostilled, and the apostille is translated together with the document. We deliver a full English or French translation with a signed certificate of accuracy, or a sworn affidavit before a commissioner of oaths where the receiving body prefers one.
The records we see most are civil registry and CPR-based extracts, birth, marriage and death certificates, diplomas and transcripts, and company and notarial papers. Files are handled under PIPEDA, and health records under provincial rules such as PHIPA, with source and target copies returned together. Acceptance ultimately depends on the receiving institution, such as IRCC, a provincial registry, a Canadian university or a licensing body, and we are a private agency, not court-appointed.
